Her favorite past-time includes learning new things from various books and websites, thinking about the many unanswered questions over a hot mug of sweet tea, and reliving the nostalgia of the fading simplicity of the past in her stories.
When taking a walk outside, she often pauses to stare at strange plants, seasonal schools of menhadens, and the occasional crab floating by the canal. She is still amazed by boxfishes and regularly visits the boxfish at the New England Aquarium.
