Finally, I have completed “Dreaming”! This painting is up for sale to help fund Jimmy’s surgery :”) You may contact either me or Deja if you are interested in purchasing this piece.
Size: 5″x7″
Acrylic on stretched canvas.
Sweet dreams tonight, Jimmy!

I don’t have a cat, but my dog does this often. She would shred the cheap pillow that I got her, and sleep surrounded by the cotton stuffing from the pillow that she mangled. Did she dream of snow and fluff?
My friend Deja has a little black cat named Jimmy. Jimmy is rather ill and would require surgery as soon as possible. As I have little financial prowess, I decided to paint something instead :”)
The finished painting will be up for sale and proceeds will go into the Save Jimmy Funds.

Size: 5″x7″
Medium: Acrylic on stretched canvas.

Dropped in some darker colors into the painting. It’s a scary step because I’m slowly eating away the translucent blues with a fairly opaque mixture of ultramarine blue and black.
I’m quite happy that the painting is getting closer to the vision I had, though :”)

Couldn’t resist the temptation to continue painting a little more. I’ll stop here for now, though–the painting is not ready for more glazing :”)
While I paint this, I pictured my Mom complaining like this:
“Why is there only one small flower?”

Starting to see the shape of my cute little capybara and friends! The birds definitely need more love, but I will get to that tomorrow.
Since I have been taking for granted the convenience of drawing on the computer, I forgot about one important thing: GOOD LIGHTING. Getting a little frustrated by my poor room lighting. Hopefully, I can get better lamp(s) soon.

While I was at it, I sketched up something for my Mom back in Indonesia. She loves lotus flowers. Hopefully, I will be able to finish this painting before I return to Indonesia on the 27th of December.

After months of digital art, the experience of painting with traditional medium is very refreshing. This is the first stage of the painting that I started earlier tonight.
